Book Review – Fever Claim: A Wolf Shifter Romance, by Marie Johnston

Welcome, thank you for joining us. I want to share with you a little about this book. I have to say I loved it. It will suck you in, which are the books I love to read. I do have to say it is sweltering and steamy. Maybe not “Shades of Grey” steamy. But none the less it gets heated.

If you would like to read the post, please scroll down past the video.

A human named Cassie called her friend Kaitlyn for a night out at Kaitlyn’s favorite hangout. She wanted to drink away the memory of Cassie’s ex-finance, who just broke off their engagement two weeks before the wedding. Upset, how could that man dumb her, she leaned over the bar to the attention of the hot bartender to order an “Absolutely screwed, please.” At the same time, her friend Kaitlyn was dancing on the dance floor.

Taking a drink, Kaitlyn came over to inform Cassie that the guy she has been dancing with has a hot ride and offered her to join him. She wanted to be adventurous, but she wanted to make sure Cassie was going to be ok.

Not wanting to be the third wheel, Cassie told Kaitlyn to go and enjoy herself that she would get herself home. The hot bartender listening stated she wasn’t driving after all the drinks she had. Fine, I’ll call a cab she replied. How about I drive you home, then you don’t have to worry about coming back to your car in the morning. Cassie tried to object, but the hot bartender wasn’t having no for an answer.

Cassie gave him directions until they arrived at her house. As they walked through the door, things turned hot in a matter of minutes, with Jace, the hot bartender spending the night. The next morning, she believed he had left to find him cooking in her kitchen. The phone rang, answering, her best friend is distraught and in need of her help. Doing her best, she explains her current location. Luckily enough, the hot bartender hears the conversation. He knows the place of her friend. Taking out his phone, he made a call while she changed her clothes.

Now, in her car, they head for the area that Kaitlyn is. Driving passed the bar. Jace turned down a road. It wasn’t too long before files of stone came into view. Pulling up to the buildings, they got out went in search of Kaitlyn. Jace could smell her grabbing Cassie’s hand. He led her over to her friend. Leaving them together, he went to inspect the area. Jace smelled them running back to Cassie and Kaitlyn.

Wide-eyed, Kaitlyn stood next to the building, looking down on her best friend, who is now a large wolf. She was growling at two men standing before them as she pressed Cassie against the wall in a protective manner.

Jace was seeing the men he stated, “Mate” louder than he planned to. He walked over to where Kaitlyn and Cassie were. The men took out their guns, taking down Kaitlyn, before escorting them to a vehicle. One took Cassie’s car as the others got into an SUV. They took them to the Guardian Headquarters, where they got interrogated before being released so Jace could talk with Cassie about what she had learned that he was a shifter. Plus, the fact that he was her mate. It didn’t go the way he had planned it.

Cassie wanted to go home. There was no need for her to stay with the Guardian’s anymore since she was a mere human. One of the Guardians went to open the door for her when bullets started flying. Getting down, Jace jumped in front of Cassie to protect her, then stuffed her in the closet to keep her safe, which didn’t work out. She had to fight to get into trouble. Kaitlyn showed up in time to save her life.

Back at her house, she resumed her life, putting everything behind her. Little did she know someone was watching her every move. Ignoring Jace, she wasn’t ready to be mated to someone for life. Not sure what her future was going to hold, determined it would be her choice.

Jace went back to work at the bar, plus he began to train with the Guardians. He was giving her time, learning a long time ago the hard way not to push things after three weeks of waiting, not able to take it any longer. Walking into her office where she worked, persuading the assistant to book him for the last appointment, before telling her she could go home for the night. He didn’t want any disruptions when he faced Cassie.

The last client of the day, the door opened, she swung around in her chair to greet her new client. Shocked seeing Jace walk around her desk, well, we just things got intense… as things feel off the desk. Afterward, they agreed to a real date the next night.

Jace left satisfied he was finally going to have a date with his mate. She had agreed. It was a chance to win her heart.

The date went great, though there was a bit of trouble, which you will have to read the book to find out the rest. I can tell you everything, that wouldn’t be fair to the author. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

7 Tips – How To Be Confidence

Confidence is all about having self-assurance as well as certainty. When you have conviction in something, you believe in wholeheartedly. Your confidence shines through for all to see in your appearance, the way you stand.

Do You Believe In Yourself?

I hope you do. If you don’t, you should. I hope by the end of this post, you have the tools to work on your self-confidence. It can change many things. Like getting the job you want, because the employer sees you believe in yourself because your confidence is shining through, they feel it a good idea to trust you with the job they have at hand.

As you get to know yourself, who you really are, then you know your strengths as well as your weakness. It is your weakness that you will need to work on to keep your confidence high. However, in the meantime, you can use your strengths to help your weakness to balance out yourself. Allow yourself to be confident even when you don’t feel it. Always remember you are valuable to not only yourself but others as well. Learning to love yourself, you will gain the level of confidence that can rule the world. You know your worth, what your valve is, how you can use it, plus what you can do with it. You can change lives. Please, don’t get so confident that you get cocky. Remember, there are others out there finding their way. Don’t tear someone down to build yourself up. That isn’t being confident it’s mean.

Do You Lack Confidence?

It is easy to have a lack of confidence, which can stem from your financial status, education, appearance, fear, or insecurities. You’ll need to figure out what area it is that affects you from being confident? Then you need to take steps to face it head-on, to squash it like a bug.

If it stems from fear, then you have to spear it head-on, tackle that fear until you no longer are afraid. No, it’s not an easy task. I have a fear of speaking in front of people. It’s like I get tongue-tied, yet it seems I am always finding myself in this situation. So, I had to grab the bull by the horns and do something about it, which means doing more public speaking. That way, the next time I have to speak publicy, I am confident because I know I am getting better each time. Also, my friend made me realize I did better than I thought I had. Though I was shaking like a leaf, it didn’t show in my voice.

Negative Thoughts Will Kill Your Self-Confidence

The best way to get rid of negative thoughts is by replacing them with positive ones. That old saying the good always conquers evil. The same goes for your thoughts. When you have positive thoughts, you are more confident. You have to stop dwelling on the negative. As soon as you see your thoughts drifting toward the negative, quickly think of something positive about yourself.

Remind yourself you are human; we all make mistakes. However, the last mistake doesn’t need to define you as a person. Learn from that mistake to improve yourself, making you more confident. Do things to build your self-esteem; doing this will also build up your confidence. Don’t let anyone belittle you nor you belittle yourself, this only tears you down by the negativity. If you don’t get the job, don’t fret. It doesn’t mean you are a failure. It means you weren’t meant to be in that job. Everything happens for a reason. If you lose your job, you’re not a failure. It means there is something better coming your way. There is a positive for every negative thing.

You don’t want to allow yourself to dwell on the negative it will only bring you down, allowing depression to set in getting you nowhere, but at the bottom of a hole. Once you are here, it is hard to dig out of the bottom of the hole, because you have to change the way you think. So, don’t allow yourself to fall into the hole to start with, by keeping positive.

We all fall on hard times, some worse than others. I will share with you I have been homeless. I have lost everything to have to start over. The only thing that got me through these hard times—was having a positive attitude. I will not lie. Sometimes it was hard to stay positive. However, I knew where letting the negativity would take me if I let it take over.

There are people in this world that make it their mission to bring people down. You will want to stay away from these toxic people. They will suck the positive essence out of you, feeding upon it, leaving only the negativity within you, destroying your hopes and dreams.

Embrace The Positive

Welcome positive thoughts with open arms, allow them to strengthen your spirit. Think positively, if you have to place positive quotes throughout your home or workplace. Whenever you feel down, stop take time to read them, get your positivity flowing again. Do things that make you feel good and make you happy. Allow yourself to think good thoughts, own them. It will not only keep you sane, but it makes a happier you. When you are delighted, your confidence shines bright.

How Do You Carry Yourself?

When you have embraced the level of confidence that you have sought, it will show. Your appearance will change, your deminer, you’ll walk with an upright stride, shoulders back, and head held high. It will be visible to everyone, making you stand out in the crowd.

Your Speech Will be Different.

There will be no fear when you talk. You will project yourself out to others who will stop and take notice. People will now hear what it is, you say. No longer will you be lurking in the background, instead you’ll want to be center stage. You will look someone in the eye, without hesitation, because you know you are their equal.

Having Pride in Your Appearance.

Meaning you will start doing regular exercise routines to help elevate stress. Also, as your body becomes more fit, you will feel the confidence within you grow.

You’ll want to surround yourself with these people to keep your confidence level high. It doesn’t mean you can spend time with those less confident. Just don’t lose yourself in their negativity. You might even be a role model to help others build their confidence.

These tips are to help you become more confident. If you can’t do it, fake it until you make it. Always respect yourself, don’t let others bring you down. Important note: If you don’t know something specific, especially in a job interview where the person is an expert, don’t lie, it only makes you look bad, depleting your confidence within yourself and their trust in you.

I hope this post is helpful. Be true to yourself, and you won’t go wrong.

Have You Ever Compared Yourself To Others?

I know I have. You probably have too. Why because it is human nature. Either consciously or subconsciously, we find ourselves comparing our work, body, hair, or whatever with somebody else. It can be either positive or negative.

Why is it not right to compare ourselves to others?

We are all unique in our own way. What works for them may not work for us. In turn, it’s a waste of valuable time to allow ourselves to compare us to others. It can even be harmful.

How?

You ask, when you compare yourself to others, you open yourself up to depression, longing, feeling of sadness, or thinking you can’t be like the person you are comparing yourself to for whatever reason. You might be ecstatically celebrating an accomplishment you poured your heart and soul into to reach this achievement. Only to find out your neighbor is celebrating more significant success they achieved. Leaving you feeling like yours doesn’t matter, wiping away all your joy in less than a second. Poof, it’s gone into thin air.

I have been here, come to meet my friends. I wanted to celebrate with them only to find out one of my friends had an even bigger event happen to them. When one of my other friends found out, she announced my achievement to everyone in the group. They all acted like my hard work wasn’t as worth as my friends. Yes, I was happy for my friend, but the whole situation made me feel inadequate.

It is unhealthy because it lowers your self-esteem, which allows dought to enter your mind. Dought can sabotage everything you are working for, your appearance, work, or home life. It takes away your self-worth. We are all worthy people; we need to remember that it doesn’t matter what others think of us. What matters is how we feel when we succeed in reaching our goals and achievements. No matter how small they are.

Protect yourself by learning your triggers. Mine is the writing group 20BooksTo50K. I see all the people making lots of money. I can barely sell eight books. But, then I have to remember I am a newbie Author. Become aware of why you compare yourself to someone. Are you afraid you are not doing something well enough? Is it from anxiety, jealousy, or from the feeling of lacking? Have you ever thought or said, I wish I could make money like the person in the huge house on the next block? How many times do you ask questions like this one? Then focus on why you ask then because this is comparing yourself to them. Yet, you may not know their situation. They might be living in a big house but dying from a disease. You can never know what the other person is going through unless you walk in their shoes. Your shoes fit you for a reason. It’s so you can have your own success. Thus, the next time you think about what I wish I could have, or I want like, remember, your shoes fit just right.

Know who you are. Now that you know your shoes fit just for you. Now is the time to choose your path, whether it be you making a difference, doing a calling, or having a purpose in life. Your way will be unique only to you. So, don’t look at your neighbor going. I wish I could? For you are two different people with two separate paths. Everything happens in its own time for a reason. Don’t try to force something before it’s meant to happen.

How Do You Know If It’s Right for You?

Good question. The best answer is to do what you love to do in life. If it pleases you, you are on the right path. If you hate what you are doing, keep searching until you find the right track. Learn your strengths, then turn them into a career. If playing video games all day is your thing, become someone who tests games for companies. Or maybe you want to help make a game more challenging.

I didn’t know what I wanted to do for years. I started as a Yeoman in the Navy. Office Manager for Mechanic Shop. Secretary for an office. Branch Manager for a Staffing Agency. Specialist for Child Care Group. Owner of a Construction Company. Selling Makeup for Younique. To my destiny now, which is being an Author, writing my stories to share with the world.

Let’s face it if you enjoy what you do. You will be much better at succeeding in that field. If you hate your job, you don’t even want to get out of bed to go to work. Then you are subject to failure within this field. Each of our strengths is different. They may be some who have the same areas as you in which you want to surround your self within that field. You can help one another to grow. But, remember their shoes fit differently than you.

Be Thankful For What You Have

Always be grateful for the little things. When you focus on what you don’t have, it takes away the joy from what you do have. Only having joy will re-enforce your self-esteem to make your confidence grow to keep your spirit alive to allow you to increase the way for a better life. When you feel down and blue, remember there are people in this world that are far off worse than yourself. Don’t take anything for granted. Keep our focus on your goals to improve yourself.

If you ever get in the situation to help another. Be sure to pass along some knowledge to someone within your field. Help them to realize they can’t compare themselves to others. They have to walk in their own shoes because they fit only them, not another person. Nor does the other person’s shoes fit you.

You Can Still Admire Others

Yes, it can be okay to admire another person. Especially if they are in the field, you want to learn. So, long as you are not jealous or envious of them. Admiring someone can feed the fire within us to help achieve what we want out of life—seeing them succeed in their accomplishments. To know, you can do the same. When you no longer worry about measuring yourself to them, you will be much happier. Be happy for them; learn from their mistakes. Use the good they have shared to better your success. Let the student surpass the teacher.

Appreciate Others Instead of Comparing Yourself to Them

This day in age with Social Media, it is so easy to allow yourself to compare with others, either good or bad. You have to be careful not to fall into the rut of looking at someone’s else post of achievement, letting the negatively sink into your mind with self doubt. Let’s face it. Not many people are going to display how many times they failed before getting it right.

Before you open any app of Social Media, know your worth. Not sure of your worth, then make yourself a sign about your worth, put in front of you or next to you. As you scroll through the feed, you feel the doubt starting look at your sign focus on the positive. You are unique, with shoes that only fit you. Be confident in yourself plus your abilities. Don’t try to live up to someone else’s standards. You have your own; for a reason, you don’t need to seek validation from another. Yeah, it’s great when it happens. Enjoy it, but don’t let it be the focus of your life. You will only lose precious time that can be spent on your projects.

If you find an area where you are finding yourself comparing to others? Then limit your time in that area, whether it be Social Media, the Mall, a Writing Group. Instead, focus on what you need to get done for yourself.

Keep inspirational quotes nearby, when you think you can do something read them. When you find yourself thinking you wish, you were like someone else. Remember your shoes fit you. If you have to make a note of that, hang it where you can see it to remind you that you are a unique individual. Don’t ever give your power away to another because you feel you should be like them.

How To Deal With Insecurities

Welcome, how has your week been? As a writer, you deal with many insecurities or feeling that you are not good enough. Believe me when I say you are more than good enough. Everyone has flaws.

It is how you handle these flaws is what makes you stronger. Even famous people have imperfections they have to contend within their lives. They figure out how to cope with it as they go on with their life.

Ask yourself this question, “What makes you feel insecure?”

Whatever comes to mind is what you need to tackle. The first thing to do is look at the cause of your insecurity. Why do you feel this way? Sometimes you allow yourself to feel discouraged by allowing doubt to creep into your mind.

It helps to have positive motivators nearby to see. Either in your planner, on a wall by your desk, or the refrigerator. Seeing these enables you to keep positive thoughts to help lift your spirit.

As a writer, we get criticized a lot. Someone doesn’t like the way you write. The direction you took your story. The fact you are not writing the next book fast enough. Unfortunately, criticism is a part of life. Now, there is such a thing as good criticism. It is when people give you feedback on your work for you to make improvements. Even the best criticism can make you feel insecure. The dought of what someone says to you makes you question, Is this for me? Am I any good?

Don’t fear this is normal. The thing to do is take this feedback with a grain of salt. Know it is going to burn, but it is for the better. It would help if you created a happy place in your home where you can go with a book, soft music, or a drink to relax, allowing you to refresh your inner soul.

Do you love yourself?

Sometimes it is hard to love oneself. Life can beat you down. The key is to accept every part of you, even your flaws. Sometimes you can work to make weaknesses better. Other times it may not happen. Not because you do not want it to, it may be out of your control. Understand the difference between the two, change what you can, accept what you can not change. Whether it be a medical condition or you are low on funds.

Whatever the reason, you can not let it bring you down. Yes, it can be harder than it seems. Life is going throw you curve balls that affect even the best of us. We have to find a way to deal with the low points in our life. Once you do, it will only make you stronger.

Do you limit your beliefs?

No, I am not talking about religion. I am talking about the belief of doing your work in progress with a sense of confidence that it will be the next bestseller. You know deep in your heart you have put your best into the project. Whether it be writing a book, doing a diet, an exercise routine, it does not have to be perfect. Know deep in your heart; you have done your best. The more you do things, the better you will become.

Do you feel insecure due to a lack of knowledge?

Today it is easier than ever to learn new things. Videos on YouTube and Facebook are a great resource. There are reasonably priced courses. Plus, there are free colleges to attend online classes.

Using Google or other search engine makes it super easy to locate the destination to learn what you want to know.

Do you ever self talk negatively?

Yes, I am saying, do you talk good about yourself? Do you accept when people talk good about you? Or do you focus on the bad? Do you feel you are not worthy of such praise? These things can bring down your confidence—allowing you to feel like you can’t achieve anything.

Learn to say good stuff about yourself. So, when others tell you a compliment, you can accept what they say—allowing it to build up your esteem.

Do you ever get a rejection?

As a writer, if you ever submit your work to an agent, you will get lots of rejections. It is part of the writing world. Yes, it can be hard to get rejection after rejection. It can bring you down quickly.

On the positive side, some agents will give you feedback. It will allow you to know if you are not a good fit for their projects. Or it might be something pacific they are looking for story-wise. They may even give you feedback to let you know how to improve your work. So, don’t take a rejection as my work sucks, I will never be a writer. That will be the sure key to failure.

Are you on Social Media?

Do you get insecure after seeing a post? Social Media can be the worst for self doubt. It can be hard to scroll through the main feed or in a group to see someone post they sold a certain amount of books making money. Knowing you have only sold a couple of books. Doubt creeps into your mind. Is my book not good enough? What am I doing wrong? Why can’t I sell that many? Obviously, I was not meant to be an author? It is so easy to fall into this line of thinking.

The thing you have to realize is that every situation is unique. The person that posted may have been selling books for ten years. Or they may have a ton of friends that helped them get started. Maybe they know someone famous or hired a professional marketer to helped promote their book. You do not know the circumstances, so do not compare yourself to the things you see on Social Media.

The main thing to remember?

You are a unique human being. Love yourself when no one else will. Do not compare your work to others; every situation is not the same. There is good criticism which you should welcome. The bad criticism let it go, do not keep in your mind. Forgive the people who said these things. They may have told them out of jealously, or they may be having a bad day, and they took it out on you.

Change your belief. Make sure you keep positive, inspirational things near you to help you be confident in what you do. It doesn’t just have to be about work. It can be about your personal life, for they go hand in hand. People try to separate the two. Unfortunately, you are one person. You do not have a switch inside; you can turn on or off. Have a relaxing place to go to allow all your soul to refresh from the negativity in the world. Also, surround yourself with positive people. Allow them to help you keep your spirit fly high. Accept when they tell you good things about yourself.

Why Should You Invest In Yourself?

Often enough, times, we don’t consider investing in ourselves. However, we don’t waste time investing in a car, our house, even a job.  We also invest our money to yield a profit.

How Do You Invest in Yourself? Well, there are many ways to invest in yourself to make a better version. You can start by your way of thinking when you have some downtime, instead of turning on the television. You could watch a video or read a book to learn something new. Take a course online to further your education.

During this time, when a lot of us are stuck at home do to the Coronavirus. Now, the perfect time to act while you are sitting at home. Take this time to invest in yourself. Think of all the things you can do during this time to invest in yourself. It could be your weight, taking better care of your skin and hair, finding ways to improve your health, figuring out how to better your finances or career. Maybe you want to further your education. You may not want all these things. The first thing is to figure out what is most important to you that you want to improve. The one thing you will be willing to take the time to invest in and remain loyal to the project until you’ve finished.

There are other ways to invest in yourself, personally as well. Like you might want to become more spiritual. You might want to learn how to relax more by meditating. You might want to feed your soul with inspirational quotes. You might want to invest in reading more books. Who doesn’t love a good book to lose oneself? You may not see the results, but you will feel them, which can change your mood, attitude, and even the way you think about things in life, making you a better person.

Do you want to make a career change? Now, the time to look into the things you enjoy doing. Learn what you can to determine what you need to do to accomplish this goal. You might be surprised to learn you can pull off doing the change. If you want to start your own online business, utilize the time you have now to get it started. Yes, I know funds are tight. Unfortunately, it takes money to make money. It could be an investment that turns out to be in your favor. Make sure you don’t overdo your investment, breaking your bank at this time.

Never stop learning. Knowledge is power. Sometimes it can mean more money in your pocket. Remember, you are your greatest asset. If you don’t invest in yourself, then everything else you have invested in could all be for nothing. So, take care of yourself. Yes, this means to pamper yourself from time to time. You deserve it. It will help you live longer to enjoy the finer things in life that you have worked so hard to achieve.

You know, as well as I do. When we get back to the normalcy of life, the hustle and bustle will begin—leaving little time to invest within ourselves. Life is demanding. With work, school, kids, hubby, and social life, it is a whirled wind. Even in these times, you have to remind yourself to schedule some pamper me time. So, mark your calendars, look forward to those days.

I would love to hear how you have been investing in yourself?

Why Should You Have a Website?

This post contains affiliate links, which means if you click on the link, purchase anything, I will get credit, should there be a sale.

If you have a business, you need a website. Why? Because you need to have a place to send people to check out what you are all about, whether it be a book you’ve written, a product you are selling, or a service you are providing.

It is easier to drive your clients/customers to one place then to several different places. You want to make it easy for people to see what your company is and what it has to offer.

So, what should you have on your website, you ask?

Ultimately that is up to you. However, I suggest to have some of the following:

  • Your welcome page – It can be to welcome your customers, or you can have the main product you want to sell on this page.
  • Product page – You will want to have all your products on this page so your customers/fans can see everything you are offering.
  • Blog/Vblog page – This is great for you to get content out to your readers, so they know what is available and where to go to get it via your website. It also sends them to your page, allowing them to see older posts you’ve posted.
  • About page – Give your customers/fans a place to go to learn about you as a person. You want to ease their weariness of why they should buy from you.
  • Contact page – Great place for your customers/fans to be able to contact you so you can answer questions. Or they may want to request something from you. It also a suitable way for businesses to be able to ask you to participate in an event.
  • Newsletter page – You want your customers/fans to have easy access to find out about the new products and services you will be providing. Which is super important, it’s the best way to communicate with your audience.
  • Events page – Give your customers/fans a place to see what events you have planned and where. Book tours, vacations, conventions, or retreats for writing so they know you’ll be unavailable. Plus, you could use this page for the schedule of a course you’ve put together to help others by sharing the knowledge you know.

I recommend the site I use, which is WordPress. It’s user-friendly. Having a great selection of platform themes to choose from to set up your site. Plus, you can change your theme at any time. They even have a free library for you to select a photo in-case you don’t have one, or you need to use it as a filler. It’s easy to upload—an excellent price for a website, especially for someone who is just starting their career. A great place to set up a blog/vblog they link directly to Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and Linkedin to drive traffic to your webpage. You also get your web address for free the first year, which helps when getting started. If your business requires you to have a store, then you’ll want to upgrade to a business plan.

Another fantastic thing is the fact they have Jetpack, which is a built-in stat tracker. You can even set up Google Analytics, allowing you to see what site your traffic was directed, like social media or a search engine. It also lets you know the geographic destination of your traffic. I love to see what part of the world someone is in that is looking at my site. It can be amazing to see someone from Bruma, China, or even Singapore has visited your webpage.

You can keep track of your stats with the WordPress app on your phone. You can even do posts on your phone app while you are sitting around waiting at the doctor’s office, shopping with family, or waiting to be seated at a restaurant. Or at the coffee shop having a Latte. You can not worry about downtime, which is the most important thing since time is money. No one wants to waste time. We all love to utilize our time effectively, especially being the boss.

Note: Always mark your calendar to remind you when your website is up for renew. Time can fly by fast before you know it a year has passed. It’s also amazing to look at the yearly stats to see how much your traffic as grown.

The Book I Read This Week? The Runaway Princess by Christina Dodd

The feature imagine is the courtesy of Avon Books, an imprint of Harper Collins Publishing. I just took the picture of the book.

The Runaway Princess is wonderous for a book to read. I have to say I enjoyed it so much I read the whole book in one day. I didn’t want to put it down. My hubby had to finish dinner because I was so caught up in this book.

You might be wondering why I am telling you about a romance novel?

Well, that is because every once in awhile, it is good to read outside of one’s genre. It gives you a different point of view that broadens your imagination. Not to mention, it keeps things on the spicy side of life.

It starts with a mystery as to who this woman is as she walks into a restaurant. Everyone looks to her as if she was of the nobility. She holds the air about her as she walks through the dining area. She enjoys the adventure she is on. Until she’s told, she has an admirer, this news rocks her world, running scared to hid behind a close door. Only to be tricked into opening the door by someone she trusts.

There is a man, seeing the person she trusted had betrayed her. He pushes his way inside her room. Thinking all the while, this man is the danger, when a bomb comes flying into her room. The dangerous man is now protecting her. With everything, she owned in her life gone due to the bomb that exploded in her room. Her life being in danger, she has no other choice but to trust this man.

As they run for their lives, with his two brothers, it becomes apparent that one, if not both are a traitor serving the man that is trying to kill them who is the last brother. All the while, the woman is trying her best to get free. Though she as no idea where to go or how she will support herself.

Finally, she gets free only to fall into the hands of the last brother. Being held hostage by several men, she worries what fate has in store for her. The brother comes to rescue her to be captured themselves. Relying on her wits to keep her alive, burnt, and scorched, she able to save them all from the clutches of danger.

Going their separate ways, she takes another opportunity to escape the man’s grasp. Only to have her own heart do her in missing him so much she goes to the city where she knows he will be.

Getting into the city, she learns more about herself from the folks within. Seeing the brothers knowing one or both or a traitor, she has to dodge then take flight. One fast on her heels stuck in an alley with him not far behind, she beats on the doors hoping someone hears.

Her prays to get answered. She’s able to go into a garden, safe from the brother. To learn more about what seems to be her destiny, or is it a twist of faith, someone put into play. Either way, it works on her; she gives in knowing she is in love with the man. Choosing to stand by him no matter what the cost is. She only prays everything works out, and they don’t meet their death.

I have only highlighted some of the good parts there are many more, don’t miss out reading this book. I have to say it is one of the best books where the female is smart. Smarter than the men giver her credit for, which she proves many times leaving them in awe.

Once you’ve arrived, you will walk over the bridge leading to the front door. Upon entering into Taste of Nations restaurant, the atmosphere is peacefully quiet. While you wait to be seated, you can see many exquisite pieces of Chinese artwork. Along with a large television, in case you would like to watch some while you eat.

Usually, Jeffery will be the one to greet you. His friendly personality will put you at ease as he sits you at one of the many tables in the dining area. He takes the time to listen to you as you talk, which can be great, especially during or after a hard day’s work.

Growing up cooking Jeffery has become quite the Chef, now he teaches others how to prepare many dishes in a cooking class—making many exotic dishes like Jellyfish. Yes, Jellyfish is not on the menu; however, if you ask, he will prepare for you. If there is a special dish you would like prepared, discuss with him, he may need some advance time to ensure he has all the ingredients.

Want to eat, but not want to dine in. You can call to place your order, then stop by to pick up while you are out and about. Unfortunately, this restaurant does not deliver.

Sausage Casserole

Ever open the refrigerator to make dinner. Only to realize as you are looking on every shelf that you forgot to take something out of dinner. Don’t fret you’re not alone. It was this exact situation that I came up with the idea for this meal. It is super simple to make. It has become a favorite dish of ours.

Ingredients

1 Roll Breakfast Sausage

6 Potatoes Sliced

1 Cup Cheese

½ Onion Diced

2 Tbl Butter

Dash Salt

Dash Pepper

Dash Basil

Dash Tony’s Original

Directions

Wash the potatoes. Don’t worry about peeling them, all the nutrients are in the skin, so I always leave them on. Cut in quarters then slice all six potatoes. Next, dice up the onion.

On medium heat, add butter in the skillet to saute onion. Then add the sliced potatoes along with the breakfast sausage. Stir continuously breaking up the meat and allowing to cook thoroughly.

Once the meat is fully cooked, remove from the heat and drain the grease. Return the skillet to low heat. Add herbs to spice to taste before spreading the cheese all over the top of the sausage and potatoes. Allow the cheese to melt before removing the skillet from the heat.

Serve in bowls or plates, makes four servings. Total preparation 15 minutes and cooking time roughly 30 minutes for a total of 45 minutes to prepare.

You can garnish with fresh herbs to make it look more exquisite.
