Hopefully, this post will help you with this topic. Now, let me tell you, I am not a financial expert in any way, shape, or form. However, I had raised two kids as a single parent before I met my wonderful husband. I have learned over many years, given I am up in my age, so I have many years of life experience that I will share with you.
I know you think you can barely save money in your savings account. How are you going to be able to save for another account? You are correct. It is hard in this day in age to reserve money. My dad once said that we have to pay ourselves first. Don’t tell him I said this, but he is right. Though he wants ten percent. You don’t have to stick with the rule of ten percent.
Okay, stop freaking out!
There are other ways to save. Yes, you might not like them. But you can make it happen.
Overtime – Yes, any overtime you work put into your Emergency Fund. This doesn’t mean you have to work yourself to death just a couple of hours here and there.
Bargain Shopping – If you need something from the grocery store, get the can for a dollar instead of buying the three-dollar spaghetti sauce. If you this way of thinking on shopping like your wonderful luscious paper products. Plus, with cleaning products, you can save a ton.
Drinks – Water is the cheapest, though it can be not very tasty at times. Lemone juice is an affordable way to give it flavor along with signal packages of flavoring. I personally use two to a Quart Jug.
Meal Fasting – Skip a few meals or make really cheap meals for a week. Example beans and rice. Okay, you will tire of eating it by the end of the week, but it will be worth it. You can break it up with another cheap meal like chicken and dumplings.
Smoking – Cut down save buying a pack. I know this will be extremely hard, but it may be worth it in the long run.
Hunting/Fishing License – Go hunting/fishing or send your old man. This will allow you to save on your meat bill.
Garden – Yes, I mean, plant you some vegetables. Once they have grown, can them, bad boys. This will save on your grocery bill.
Sew – Stitch up the whole. Don’t go out and buy new.
Side jobs – Yes, it can be hard to want to work another job, but it might be worth it in the long run.
Roundup – Yep, everything you spend money on, go through your account. Add up all the money if you rounded it to the next dollar. You could be surprised as to how much that equals.
