Welcome. I hope this post finds you well with COVID-19 ramping up in so many areas. If you go out, please remember to take all precautions to keep you and your loved ones safe so you can have a joyous holiday.
Have you put up your decorations? We put up our Christmas Tree and light last night. Yes, we are a little behind schedule since we usually do it on the weekend after Thanksgiving. However, we had some unexpected guests who stayed with us, which delayed our plans. They have since left us, and we are back on track with the decorations.
Now we are on to decide what delicious goodies to make for the holiday. One thing Rosalee, my granddaughter, requested was that we make cookies for Santa. Of course, it’s a give. Santa has to have his cookies and mill for Christmas Eve.
The last couple of days, my husband has picked Christmas movies to watch. The Christmas Chronicles, The Christmas Chronicles2, Elliot, 48Christmas Wishes, and Elf Pets A Fox Cubs Christmas Tales to get the family into the season’s spirit. I have to say it has been working. I have to say these were great movies. These titles are showing on Netflix.
This morning my grandson, Chance, whom I have been babysitting, showed up at our house. He came in and sat on the couch before he realized the Christmas tree was right next to him. He was in awe of the tree. I asked if he had a tree at home. I was sad when he told me no. It was a simple reminder of how hard people have it this year. I am grateful that we are as well off as we are. This wasn’t always the case, so I am very appreciative of what we have. It is a reminder of how a little over a year ago, we were down with nothing. We crawled our way out of the depths of despair. I pray we never go back there. My husband and I do our best to work together to keep that from happening again. I will share with you some things we are doing to ensure this in another post.
Hard to believe. Only seven days left before Christmas.
Are you freaking out about getting those last-minute gifts? Lord knows I am. I have been racking my brain to come up with ideas for gifts before Christmas day arrives. I think the hardest one to shop for is my husband, Cliff. Not because I don’t know what to buy him. It is a sheer fact of the cost of the gifts that would benefit him the best. His major item on his list is power tools. Let me tell you that when you are on a tight budget, power tools are not the ideal gift. So, I had to get a bit frugal with his gift. No, I am not worried, for he knows our budget.
Here are a couple of ideas I have come up with that helped me out. Maybe they can help you as well.
First, I don’t know if you have heard of Kathy’s Forever and Always? Well, talk about memorable gifts for everyone. The best part is that they are only $5 for adults and $1 for kids. Yep, you know it. I shopped for everyone within our house here for some fantastic jewelry. It was great to do so much shopping and get excellent quality items for such a low price. If you check her out, she goes live on Facebook almost every night to show her stock. Her husband, Mike, helps with the showing of the jewelry when he is off. Let me tell you, he will have you laughing so hard it is good for the soul just to watch him in the different getups. You never know what he will be wearing. Kathy also does several giveaways, which can be great. Be sure to tell her that Karen sent you.
Ebooks – It is an excellent idea for your teens and even adults to get a card, write the title of an ebook inside, then place it in their stocking. Yes, you can use the link below to buy the featured book or use the link below, search for another more ideal book of your choosing. After all, you know best what your loves like. The best part you don’t have to worry about shipping or someone stealing your item from your door after it arrived.

Not always can we rely on Social Media? Like right now, I am already having problems with Facebook. They have marked my website as spam so that no one on my business page can’t directly connect to my website. Instead, I had to attach my other platform, which only contains links to my books. Even though I provided Facebook with documents, I had to prove I am a company.
