Sausage Casserole

Ever open the refrigerator to make dinner. Only to realize as you are looking on every shelf that you forgot to take something out of dinner. Don’t fret you’re not alone. It was this exact situation that I came up with the idea for this meal. It is super simple to make. It has become a favorite dish of ours.

Ingredients

1 Roll Breakfast Sausage

6 Potatoes Sliced

1 Cup Cheese

½ Onion Diced

2 Tbl Butter

Dash Salt

Dash Pepper

Dash Basil

Dash Tony’s Original

Directions

Wash the potatoes. Don’t worry about peeling them, all the nutrients are in the skin, so I always leave them on. Cut in quarters then slice all six potatoes. Next, dice up the onion.

On medium heat, add butter in the skillet to saute onion. Then add the sliced potatoes along with the breakfast sausage. Stir continuously breaking up the meat and allowing to cook thoroughly.

Once the meat is fully cooked, remove from the heat and drain the grease. Return the skillet to low heat. Add herbs to spice to taste before spreading the cheese all over the top of the sausage and potatoes. Allow the cheese to melt before removing the skillet from the heat.

Serve in bowls or plates, makes four servings. Total preparation 15 minutes and cooking time roughly 30 minutes for a total of 45 minutes to prepare.

You can garnish with fresh herbs to make it look more exquisite.
